OnePlus’s first concept machine exposed: OnePlus Concept One adopts “hidden rear camera” design

On January 3rd, OnePlus officially released a teaser on OnePlus Concept One. This is the first concept mobile which will release during CES 2020. You may have question that what is this CES? CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies to know more.

In this teaser, we can see that the display appears to be curved and also we can observe that it is more curvier than the OnePlus 7 Pro. The frame of the mobile is of gold color where we can also expect different colors.

The attractive thing about the mobile in the teaser is the camera. The mobile will adopt a “latent hidden rear camera” design and hide the rear camera through electrochromic technology. It has triple rear cameras arranged vertically in the middle with an LED flash beneath the last sensor but they do not become visible at first and giving off the impression that they are invisible.

Electrochromic technology was generally applied to aircraft and sports cars but OnePlus is the first brand in the industry to apply electrochromic technology to smartphones.

OnePlus Concept One

OnePlus Concept One’s rear-facing lens uses electrochromic material to “hide” the entire rear camera module of the phone under the glass rear shell of the phone. The glass on the rear-facing lens will only change when the user uses the rear-facing camera. Be transparent and display it, and when the user does not need to use the rear camera, the black glass lens is integrated with the surrounding glass, making people almost imperceptible to the lens, as if the phone does not have a rear camera.

The design of the mobile is very curious, we can expect that it will be a good photography competitor to other brands. OnePlus Concept One will go officially unveiled on January 7 stay tuned for further updates.
