How to enable RGB notification in OnePlus 7 Pro or in any mobile

You have a device with exciting features and specifications, but, what if it is not having an RGB notification light.

Most of the high-end devices like don’t have a physical notification LED, we can take an example of OnePlus 7 Pro, which has a full-screen Pop-Up camera design.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t have a notification LED, anyways, you can make the best use of Always On Display(AOD) to enable RGB notification.

RGB means red, green and blue. RGB lights combine these three colors to produce over 16 million hues of light.

Many mobiles have physical LED, do all they are RGB, or does it so cool to show off.

Well, in this tutorial I will show you how to enable an RGB notification light in any device even if you don’t have any physical LED light.

The easiest way to do that is by downloading a third-party app, but which app works perfectly for me.

If you don’t have any idea about how to does this, don’t worry, you are at the right place to learn cool stuff.

Steps to activate RGB notification light OnePlus 7 Pro or in any device.

First, you need to download and open the NotifyBuddy app from Google Play Store.

After Launching the app, it will ask you to grant Notification Permission, just click on the grant button.

Then, you have to give additional Notification access to make it work.

You can give the Notification access to the app, just by clicking the enable button shown in the image above.

When you click that, It will display a pop-up window, then press on the allow button.

Once you complete the Permission process, you can see all the apps are listed below.

Now I am going to enable notification light for Messages.

You can activate it by clicking the enable button, and to change the color of the notification light, just click on the app icon.

Here I am customizing the notification color for the Messages app, and I have turned the pointer to green color because it just looks so good, you chose your favorite color and click on Confirm.

Finally, as a result, whenever you receive a text message, you will see a pulse green notification on the top-left of your mobile screen.

In the below image you can see, there is a green light blinking on the top-left corner of the device. In this experiment, I am using ASUS zenfone max pro M2, and this same method works on OnePlus 7 Pro too.

NotifyBuddy Settings

To customize the settings of the NotifyBuddy app, click on three dots “⋮”, and you will find the settings there.

Here you can set the blink timing, which means it is the “time taken to complete one blink“, I have set 2.

The second option is for the Blink Interval, it is the “time after which light blinks again“.

And the third one is Stop Timer, which is used to stop the RGB notification after the given time.
