Sign in with Google is not working
If Sign-in with Google is not working, then try allowing third-party cookies.
In Chrome, by default, the third-party cookies are blocked. Most of the time it is a good idea to keep them blocked, but for some sites, it will cause an issue while signing-in with Google.
Take an example of Grammarly.com, When I tried to sign-in with Google, it just kept on buffering and when I allowed third-party cookies, the issue got resolved and I was able to sign-in easily.
Here’s actually what happened.
First I opened Grammarly.com and tried to sign in by clicking on Sign-in with Google.
Then it redirected me to Google’s sign-in page where I had to choose an existing account. (The below-shown e-mail ID is an example, it’s not an actual e-mail address)
When I selected an e-mail address and continued, it took me back to the sign-in page of Grammarly without completing the login. And it was kept on buffering without doing anything.
I tried repeating the login process assuming this time it will happen, but nothing happened.
If you’re also facing the same issue and sign-in with Google is not working for you as well then simply try enabling third-party cookies.
How to enable third-party cookies in Chrome browser.
1. Click on the “Lock icon” located at left-hand side of the URL bar.
2. Once you click there, a drop-down screen will appear where you will find a toggle button to allow third-party cookies, simply turn it off and the issue is resolved.
If it’s still not working then update/change your browser.
