The incorporation of the powerful Snapdragon 720G processor is done well, which handles all the operations of the mobile smoothly. As it is a gaming processor, that can make very smooth game play.
This phone is available in two variants, the base variant of 4+64GB and the other variant having 6+64/128GB. Along with these variants, if 8 GB ROM was also available then it would have made a wonderful combination. And it has a rear quad camera setup of 48MP main camera sensor of Sony 64MP IMX68, 8MP Ultrawide Lens+ 5MP Macro Lens+ 2MP Depth Sensor. And has a Selfie Camera of 16MP. According to the amazon reviews the camera can capture quite good photos.
A 5000 mAh battery supported with 33W fast charging is included in this model. The battery is only in numbers, because it is not completely optimised to long last for many hours. According to the review the battery consumption was like this:- The average consumption was 11.5 mAh/minute, for video playing it took 8 mAh/minute and for video recording 17 mAh/minute. On continuous usage it long lasted for only 7 hour 15 minutes. It takes 1 hour 25 minutes to charge from 0 to 100.
PROS OF BUYING THIS MOBILE:
Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro has a good design with a glossy back look, which does give a premium feel while using. The 48MP Rear camera setup works well and clicks some good quality images, the ultra-wide lens captures a wide frame comfortably. The powerful Snapdragon 720G processor is surely a plus point for this smartphone which gives a good gaming experience. Along with smooth and seamless performance. The use of IR blaster wasn’t surprising as most of the previously developed smartphones by Xiaomi included it.
CONS OF POCO M2 PRO:
With all the good positive points there are a few drawbacks about this phone which you must know before buying. First, Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro comes with an IPS LCD display with 60Hz refresh rate while on the other hand, mobile phones from other brands come up with an AMOLED display having a good refresh rate. Even after having a good design, this phone looks quite similar in design and specifications to Redmi Note 9 Pro. Also, the mobile phone is bulky as it weighs 208gm in weight and is surely heavy to carry. Importantly the mobile should be optimised to consume less power, so that using 5000 mAh will have some value.
REVIEWS: DO TAKE A LOOK BEFORE BUYING
- The fingerprint scanner works quick and also the face unlock is quite instantaneous.
- Has a good display quality that works perfectly well during outdoor usage despite the fact that this mobile phone lags the AMOLED display.
- Gives a great gaming experience without any lag.
- IR blaster is included, which allows you to convert your regular home into a smart home.
- Despite having all these features and specifications the price seems to be marked well at INR 14,000 for the base variant. Which surely is the best value for money.
BUY OR NOT?
After looking at all the specifications and reviews it’s quite sure that, this mobile phone is a slightly downgraded version of the Poco X2. Poco X2 had a 64MP Rear camera while M2 Pro has a 48MP camera setup that over saturates images after capturing. Also M2 Pro has a single 16MP front camera setup while Poco X2 has a Dual 20MP selfie camera. This is the reason why it’s termed as Little Brother of Poco X2 Pro.
Thus it’s the best option for those looking for a mobile phone under INR 15000 which supports gaming and allows the user to handle some heavy operations.
