Qualcomm is a world-leading processor brand, and it’s the tough competitor of Apple and MediaTek.
This year Qualcomm released its Snapdragon 855 flagship processor, which is the world’s fastest mobile processor now, and they are the first who introduced 5G modem.
Qualcomm distinguished the processor series with the numbers 4,6,7 and 8. Meanwhile “400” series are the budget processors with minimum features, and the “600” series are used in Mid-Range smartphones, and the “700” series are Upper-mid-range processors intended to provide more specifications at an affordable cost, and the “800” series are the flagships that are used in High-end mobile phones with powerful performance.
Qualcomm will not only manufacture high-end chipsets, but they also have mid-range, upper-midrange, and budget segment processors.
In the first half of the year, snapdragon 675 was leaked on geekbech with a code name Snapdragon sm6150. After that, it is officially released and the Meizu note 9 and Redmi Note 7 Pro were the first mobiles to adopt this chipset.
The 675 processor is significantly more powerful compared to Snapdragon 710.
The Qualcomm 6 series processors are used is mid-range mobile phones to offer more speed at a low cost. And now the Qualcomm is working on the upcoming Snapdragon 685.

As Snapdragon 800 series already have 5G, but at IFA 2019, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced its plans to include 5G networking capability to Snapdragon 600 and 700 series. And Snapdragon 685 is also included in this list.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 5G will globally be rolled out in 2020.
